Abstract: The aPLI legform is closer to the human body model than the currently used flexible legform(Flex-PLI), and the biosimulation performance has been greatly improved, enabling a better comprehensive assessment of thigh injury of high and low bumper vehicles. However, the injury indexes are significantly improved compared with Flex-PLI, and it is more difficult to score in NCAP, and higher requirements are placed on the vehicle's styling design, front-end layout and structural optimization. This article analyzes and introduces the development process of the lower legform, the injury characteristics of the aPLI legform comparison and the strategy for vehicle development.
