Connected and Automated Vehicle (CAV) Test Field of Changan University is based on the Automotive Comprehensive Performance Test Field in Weishui camp
Connected and Automated Vehicle (CAV) Test Field of Chang’an University is based on the Automotive Comprehensive Performance Test Field in Weishui campus of Chang’an University, which is the unique A level Test Field in Chinese Colleges and Universities. Moreover, the CAV Test Field is improved to be electronic, information-based and intelligent one. In 2010, the vice-president of Chang’an University, Professor Xiangmo Zhao, has proposed an idea with great vision to build a Vehicle-Infrastructure Cooperative Test Field.He hope that the Test Field is going to be an important platform for education and research, which has an advanced conception, multiple functions, high intelligence and high influence in the intelligent transportation field of the world. In recent years, Professor Xiangmo Zhao and his research team aimed at key issues in the intelligent transportation field and addressed technical difficulties in the Vehicle-Infrastructure Cooperative System by using modularized solutions. Currently, the prototype of the Test Field has been built and a serial of achievements have been obtained.
长安大学车联网与智能汽车试验场是在原长安大学渭水校区汽车综合性能试验场(全国高校唯一的A级汽车性能试验场)的基础上,进行电子化、信息化、智能化改造完成的。早在2010年,长安大学副校长赵祥模教授就前瞻性地提出了建设长安大学车路协同试验场的构想,希望将该试验场建成一个概念超前、功能齐全、智能化水平高、在国内外智能交通领域具有重要影响的教学与科研实验平台。近年来,赵祥模教授带领其团队成员,从车路协同系统概念入手、以智能交通领域的热点需求为目标、采用模块化构建方法,逐一攻克系统中的技术难题,目前已初步建成试验场原型系统,并取得系列成果。

2016年长安大学与教育部中国移动通信集团清华大学签署了共建车联网-中国移动联合实验室的协议
该实验室是我国政府层面批准建设的首个车联网领域联合实验室
在此基础上由长安大学、清华大学、中国移动联合发起的
北航、同济、中兴通讯、华为、交通部公路院、交通部路网中心、陕汽、上汽等30余家高等院校科研院所和大型企业
